On October 25, 2023, VSMU held an online meeting for parents of then1st year students of the medical, pharmaceutical, dental and pediatric faculties, which was attended by the Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Boltrushevich, the head of the university campus Anatoly Kondratovich, the chairman of the students’ trade union organization Alexander Myasoedov, the representatives of dean’s offices , the employees of socio-pedagogical and psychological services, the heads of sports and student clubs of the university.

On October 25, 2023, the VIII Forum of Youth Scientific Communities, organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the University, was held in the conference hall of the morphological building of VSMU. The event was attended by guests from the universities of the Vitebsk region and BSMU. During the meeting, scientific and pedagogical schools and the potential of the university’s scientific work were presented, issues of using 3D printing, IT technologies and genetic-statistical and bioinformatics methods in teaching students and scientific research were discussed. In addition, the results of inter-university cooperation were summed up, and directions for further work were outlined.

On December 11, 2023, a military-patriotic song competition dedicated to the 2nd anniversary of the formation of the military-patriotic Club “Serving the Fatherland” will be held in the concert hall of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic.

The organizers of the competition are the Military-Patriotic Club “Serving the Fatherland”, Student Club, Primary organization of the public association BRSM, trade union organization of students, trade union organization of employees.

The authors of the best works will be awarded New Year's prizes and memorable gifts.

Everyone is invited to participate. Participants are invited to show their talent in making New Year's toys and souvenirs.

The works will be put up for auction, and the proceeds from the sale of New Year's toys will be transferred to a charitable account of one of the institutions in the Vitebsk region, which houses children in difficult life situations.

From October 11, 2023, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus announced a competition of anti-drug posters “Say NO to Drugs!” Employees of government institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health, health care organizations, as well as students of educational establishments receiving higher medical education can take part in the competition.
