The traditional national holiday of Sri Lankan students, "Deepavali" (Divali), took place. It is a Hindu festival of fire and light, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The staff of the Overseas Students Training Faculty, teachers, guests, and, of course, the students themselves immersed themselves in an atmosphere of lively rhythmic dances, soulful national songs, and unique instrumental music.

On October 25, employees and students of Vitebsk State Medical University, led by Rector Alexey Chukanov, participated in the republican clean-up.

On October 23–24, 2025, the XXV International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists, titled "Student Medical Science of the XXI Century," was held at Vitebsk State Medical University and its clinical bases.

More than 240 scientific reports were presented, demonstrating the high level of training among the participants. The work covered all key areas of modern medicine, from basic research to applied clinical analysis. Many of the projects aimed to address pressing healthcare issues.

On October 22, VSMU students presented the excursion route "Five Temples – Five Destinies," which is part of the student project "Restoration of Temples of the Vitebsk Region." While traveling around the region, university students participate in temple restoration efforts, study the history of their homeland, learn about the lives of local residents, and explore the spiritual and moral traditions of the Belarusian people.

As part of the year-round sports contest among secondary, specialized, and higher educational institutions of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, table tennis competitions took place on October 20-21, 2025. A total of 7 teams competed for victory.

The national team of Vitebsk State Medical University demonstrated a strong performance, showing determination and skill. Our athletes left no chance for their opponents: the girls rose to the highest step of the podium, winning gold medals, while the boys confidently secured third place, earning bronze medals.

According to the results, the VSMU team won and took first place in the team competition.
