In January 2024, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of joint planned visits of VSMU and the State Healthcare Institution of the Vitebsk and Mogilev regional executive committees, the teaching staff of the clinical departments of VSMU with the aim of providing medical and advisory assistance to the population in the areas of cardiology, neurology, psychiatry and narcology, surgery , therapy, otorhinolaryngology, traumatology and orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, etc. 50 visits were made to health care institutions in the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions to receive patients in the central district hospitals and interdistrict centers.

From January 31 to February 2, 2024, at the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Surgical Dentistry with the course of physical training and personal training at VSMU, a series of lectures and master classes was held on the topic “Mucogingival surgery. Surgical wound management", the lecturer - Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Surgical Dentistry of Institute of Dentistry named after E.V. Borovsky Sechenov University (Moscow) Romanenko N.V.

From January 29 to February 2, 2024, within the framework of a cooperation agreement between VSMU, the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 16 of Polotsk” and the State Institution “Polotsk Central City Hospital”, the event “Winter Marathon of Knowledge” was held for students of 10-11 chemical and biological classes. Schoolchildren completed original test tasks in the subjects “Biology” and “Chemistry”, prepared by teachers of the departments of biology and chemistry of the VSMU Faculty of Education, followed by online consultation.

Thanks to participation in the event, students of the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 16 of Polotsk” were able to expand their knowledge in the subjects “Biology” and “Chemistry”.

On February 2, 2024, the scientific and educational school for students with international participation completed its work at VSMU: “Hereditary information and ways of its implementation. Hereditary diseases, basic diagnostic methods."

On February 1, 2024, a seminar was held at VSMU on the topic: “Requirement and application of the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of March 11, 2004. No. 1." The event was attended by the head of the department for the Vitebsk region of the Center for Occupational Health and Industrial Safety of the NIHE Sergei Chernobabin. During the seminar, issues of public safety were considered to solve specific practical problems in the field of labor protection and the formation of law-abiding behavior, a healthy lifestyle, and skills to ensure the personal and property safety of university employees. At the end of the seminar, participants asked questions that interested them and received detailed answers.
