Exhibition-presentation of the combined local history database of the VSMU library “Teachers of Vitebsk Medical Institute on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War” as a living project-memorial to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will take place in the Art Gallery of the library from May 6, 2025.

80 years ago the Great Patriotic War ended. Huge suffering and losses it brought to our people. Dozens of destroyed cities, thousands of burnt villages, millions of ruined lives...

On May 2, 2025, the delegation of the staff and students of VSMU took part in the X regional patriotic action “Victory Breakthrough”. At the memorial complex “Breakthrough” in Ushachsky district of Vitebsk region the University presented an exhibition exposition of civil-patriotic orientation. Also during the whole event active career guidance activities were carried out among the present youth of Ushachy, Polotsk, Novopolotsk and Miory districts.

On May 2, 2025, a training seminar for the students of VSMU and the doctors of Vitebsk Regional Clinical Center for Children was held.

Galina Konstantinovna Barkun Galina Konstantinovna, the Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics № 2 with a course of FAT and PR of VSMU, gave a lecture “Primary pulmonary hypertension in newborns”, and also presented a clinical case analysis with discussion of the tactics of management and therapy of this condition in an infant who was under the treatment in one of the CDH of our region.

From April 21 to 24, 2025 in St. Petersburg XVI Festival of Arts of medical students and medical workers, organized jointly by three medical universities: St. Petersburg State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Acad. I.P. Pavlov and SPbSPMU was held. This is a unique event that unites medicine and creativity, revealing the best qualities of students outside their studies.
