On March 26, 2025, the final stage of the competition with international participation ‘The best scientific research student work on pathological physiology’, organised by the Department of Pathological Physiology named after academician A.A. Bogomolets of Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky, took place.

On April 2, 2025, within the framework of events dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia the action “Make a Wish Together” was held in VSMU.

Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Organizational and Legal Work of VSMU, Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin, the Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training, Elena Gusakova, the Dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Training, Valentina Kugach, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the students of the University from Russia and Belarus decorated the branches of the Wish Fulfillment Tree of VSMU - a young oak tree planted as a symbol of friendship and common aspirations - with ribbons in the colors of the flags of the two brotherly countries. Each participant of the action, tying a ribbon, made his/her deepest wish, believing that wishes made together come true faster.

On April 2, 2025, in VSMU the meeting of student scientific circles in the online format of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University and Astrakhan State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation took place.

At the event, the Department of General Medical Practice of VSMU and the Department of Cardiology of Astrakhan SMU discussed the following reports:

Within the framework of realization of the Republican contest of social youth projects “Youth of Belarus for life, morality and family values” the students of groups 3 and 4 of the 1st year of pediatric faculty and group 32 of the 1st year of medical faculty presented unique excursion routes “Restored temples of Vitebsk”, “Five temples - five destinies. Temples of Vitebsk region”.

On April 2, 2025, at Vitebsk State Medical University a ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus took place on the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.

The event was attended by the university administration, the chairman of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers Vladimir Plytkevich, the teachers, the staff and the students of the university.

The honorable right to raise the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus was given to Lieutenant Colonel of the Medical Service, member of the military-patriotic club “I Serve the Fatherland” Arseny Tsygankov, as well as to the distinguished students of the university: Nirmani Gamage (6th year of the FOST), Pyotr Bliznev (4th year of the Medical Faculty), Arina Zhukova (3rd year of the Pediatric Faculty), Elizaveta Ivanova (4th year of the Pharmaceutical Faculty) and Ekaterina Martynyuk (2nd year of the Dental Faculty).
