On October 3-4, a chess and checkers tournament was held among teams from dormitories of institutions of higher and secondary specialized educations in the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk. The VSMU team took the first team place. In the individual chess championship, Ilya Zakharenko, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine at VSMU has won, and Maria Luchkina, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Medicine, took the 2nd place in the individual championship in checkers.

On October 3, a meeting of the anti-corruption commission was held under the chairmanship of VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov. The report “On compliance with anti-corruption legislation in the organization and implementation of the activities of the Primary trade union organization of employees of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University” and the Primary trade union organization of students of the educational institution “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University” was made by Alexey Pogotsky, chairman of the trade union committee of VSMU employees and Alexander Myasoedov, chairman of the trade union committee of VSMU students.

VSMU greeted its veterans with warm words, good wishes and amateur performances.

On October 3, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University congratulated our respected and beloved veterans on the International Day of Older Persons.

On October 3, VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov met with young specialists working in various structural subdivisions of the university. The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for educational work Natalia Boltrushevich,  as well as Vice-Rector for academic affairs Natalia Konevalova.

On September 29-30, 2023, a walking tour of the students and staff of Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University took place. It was dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Year of Peace and Creation. The event was organized by the VSMU administration, primary trade union organizations of VSMU students and employees, the VSMU sports club, and the patriotic club “Serving the Motherland.”
