On October 25, 2024, the grand opening of the renovated premises of six departments of VSMU took place in Vitebsk City Clinical Hospital No. 1.

The opening was attended by the VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov, the Acting Chief Physician of the hospital Evgeny Kulyakin, the representatives of the VSMU administration, the employees and students of the university.

On October 25, 2024, VSMU took part online in the XIX Scientific and Practical Conference with the international participation "Modnikovskie Readings", organized by the partner university FSBEI HE "Ulyanovsk State University" together with the Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary and the Association for the Assistance to Healthcare Development "Medical Chamber of the Ulyanovsk Region".

On October 17-18, 2024, as part of the implementation of the events of the "Roadmap for scientific and educational cooperation of higher education and health care institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2023-2026." The Dean of the pediatric faculty of VSMU Tatyana Ryabova took part in the scientific and practical conference with the international participation "Healthy mother - healthy child" in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Karshi.

On October 24, 2024, the head of the Department of Evidence-Based Medicine and Clinical Diagnostics of the Faculty of Advanced Training and Preparatory Studies, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.V. Zhiltsov gave an open lecture to the 4th-year students of the Faculty of Medicine on the topic "Assessment of the clinical significance of diagnostic tests from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine".
