In accordance with the order of the VAK of the Republic of Belarus dated December 30, 2025, No. 281 "On the results of the annual competition for the best doctoral and candidate dissertations," the laureate diploma for the best dissertation of 2025 in the "Humanities" category was awarded to Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, Candidate of Philological Sciences IRINA ALEKSANDROVNA MENSHENINA, for her candidate dissertation titled "Automatic Semantic Compression of Scientific Medical Discourse Publications (based on English language material)."

Professor Viktor Iosifovich Gidranovich, head of the Department of Organic Chemistry, passed away on January 13, 2026.

V.I. Gidranovich was born on October 28, 1934, in the village of Koryst, Soligorsk District, Minsk Region.

He graduated from Vitebsk State Veterinary Institute in 1959. From 1959 to 1961, he worked as a junior researcher, and from 1961 to 1963 as a senior researcher at the Vitebsk Regional Agricultural Experimental Station. From 1963 to 1965, he studied in postgraduate studies at the Department of Organic and Biological Chemistry at Vitebsk Veterinary Institute.
