The team of Vitebsk State Medical University took part in the III swimming tournament for the Rector's Cup of GomSMU among medical university students.

This year, 15 student teams entered the competition: four from Belarus - teams from BSMU, VSMU, GomSMU, GrSMU and eleven from Russia - teams from medical universities from Moscow and St. Petersburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Voronezh, Ryazan, Kursk, Ufa.

On April 5, 2024, within the framework of the cooperation between VSMU and Northwestern State Medical University, a visit was made to VSMU by the Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Gnathology of Northwestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov.

On April 5, 2024, at the Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Center in the lecture hall of the pediatric faculty, a regional training seminar “The concept of the first 1000 days of life: nutrition of pregnant women, nursing mothers and children of the first year of life." This seminar was organized with the active participation of the VSMU employees of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2.

The following trips were carried out this working week:

01/04/2024 the Head of the Department of Hospital Surgery with the course of FAT and PR Shchastny A.T. (chief freelance surgeon of the main health department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee) conducted a monitoring visit to provide organizational, methodological and advisory assistance to the population of the Orsha Central Clinic;

04/04/2024 the Assistant of the department of obstetrics and gynecology Sleptsova V.A. admitted 18 patients at the Krichev Central District Hospital.

Based on the results of the examination at the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission, on April 3, 2024, the Associate Professor of the branch Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimatology with a course of FAT and PR and Hospital Surgery with a course of FAT and PR, the Candidate of Medical Sciences Artur Leonidovich LIPNITSKY was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty “Medicine”.
