From April to June 2024, the open Internet festival of children's and youth creativity "Romance of Star Roads" was held, timed to coincide with Cosmonautics Day and International Space Day.

952 applications from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation were submitted to the festival.

In the category “I draw space. Drawing" was awarded 2nd degree diploma to Mikhail Chizhevsky, the 1st year student of the Faculty of Medicine; III degree diploma – Oksana Volkova, the 2nd year student of the Faculty of Pediatrics.

As part of the cooperation agreement between St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical University and VSMU, the 5 third-year students of the pharmaceutical faculty, under the guidance of the deputy dean for educational work Gennady Adamenko, underwent educational pharmacognostic internship at the Russian partner university.

Aleksey Vladimirovich Klemper, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacognosy, worked with our students at St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical University. The students visited the Department of Pharmacognosy and the museum of the department, the Botanical Garden and the practice base.

On the day of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus and the Independence Day I was lucky enough to visit the “Victory Train”, which was in our city on July 2 and 3, 2024.

The project is an interactive exhibition dedicated to the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. The museum on wheels consists of 10 themed carriages, each reflecting a different period of the war, pre- and post-war.

On July 3, 2024, the VSMU staff and students, led by the University Rector Alexei Chukanov, took part in a gala event dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

Columns of the representatives of Vitebsk districts and labor collectives of the city marched in a solemn procession from Pobedy Square to Victory Square.

As part of the implementation of the academic exchange program between Samara State Medical University and VSMU, the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy completed educational pharmacognostic practice on the basis of the Russian partner university.
