On December 18, 2024, VSMU held a competition for an intra-university startup grant for students and young scientists for 2025.

The opening speech was given by Elena Asiryan, the Vice-Rector for Research at VSMU, who noted the importance of the competition for increasing the scientific potential of students and young scientists at our university.

On December 17, 2024, a meeting of the first-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry with the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel N.B. Dorofeev, the Dean I.Yu. Karpuk, the Deputy Dean L.V. Somova took place. The leitmotif of the meeting: "No to extremism!"

In order to prevent unlawful behavior, Nikolai Borisovich familiarized those present with individual articles of current legislation, and also recalled some of the norms of the Education Code and the Ethical Code of VSMU Students.

On December 16, 2024, a meeting was held between the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolai Dorofeev, the Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work of the Faculty of Pharmacy Evgeny Shabunin with first-year students of the Faculty of Pharmacy on the prevention of extremism and terrorism.

On December 18, 2024, the IV Republican scientific and practical conference "Current problems of social policy and ideology" has been held in Minsk at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

On December 17, 2024, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between Vitebsk State Medical University and Orenburg State Medical University, an online lecture on pediatrics was held for the 4th-year students of the pediatric faculty, the 4-6th years of the medical faculty and the VSMU FOST.
