Research work

The department constantly carries out research work on scientific projects and thesis research.

The main directions of research work of the department are:

Development of the scientific program of children's gynecology to allow the prediction of the range of diseases of reproductive age and conduct their individual prevention.

Improving the medical and preventive measures in preeclampsia, fetoplacental insufficiency, intrauterine infection, intrauterine growth restriction, premature birth, extragenital pathology in pregnant women (hypertension, anemia, epilepsy, etc.).

The development of functional nutrition for pregnant women and children.

Improving the current situation of family planning (reduction of number of abortions and their complications) by developing, clinical testing and introduction of new domestic, highly efficient and relatively cheap contraceptives.

Development of modern methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cervical disease, new approaches to observing the patients with HPV infection.

The study of flow phenomena of inflammatory diseases of the pelvic organs under current conditions, improvement, development of new approaches to diagnosis, treatment and prevention of these diseases and their complications (infertility, miscarriage, hypo-ovarionism, etc.).

Improvement of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment in obstetrics and gynecology: in benign tumors of the uterus and appendages, hyperplastic processes of endometrium, infertility.

Modern approaches to the choice of medical tactics in hyperplastic processes of endometrium and organ-sparing methods in treating uterine fibroids.

Diagnosis, treatment and prevention of systemic disorders in natural and surgical menopause, introduction of new pathogenetic treatment of climacteric syndrome.

Over the last 5 years, eight theses have been defended at the department, one of them - for the degree of doctor of medical sciences, seven theses – for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus has approved 16 instructions for use, and four patents for inventions have been granted.

The research results have been introduced to the work of obstetric and gynecological hospitals and antenatal clinics.

The staff of departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics have published the first magazine "Maternal and child care" in the Republic of Belarus, dedicated to the issues of reproductive health. This magazine is included in the list of publications, which materials have been recommended by HAC of the Republic of Belarus in preparing for protection for the degree of candidate and doctor of medical sciences.
