The conversation was held as a dialogue platform, where students received comprehensive answers to questions related to the stay of foreign citizens on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the arrangement of the educational process at our university. The problems of academic debt and the procedure for paying tuition fee were also considered.

At the end of the conversation, the rector of the university got acquainted with the living conditions of foreign students in the international VSMU hostel.

On March 1-2, there was the 14th creativity festival of foreign students called “Friendship of Nations” which took place at the educational establishment “Belarusian-Russian University” in Mogilev. Traditionally, Sri Lankan students of the Overseas Students Training Faculty took part in this event with great pleasure. The MixFeeds group delighted the audience with their unique and colorful dances “Bollywood” and “Arabic Kuthu”. Randeniya Devin Chandula Felishion performed the song “I Want to Break Free”, accompanying himself on the guitar. All of them received 1st degree diplomas for their performances. 

The educational establishment «Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University» informs you that, according to official information, the Republic of Belarus is not involved in the conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. In this regard, the university conducts educational process as usual. Classes are held according to the curriculum and to the schedule, both in the educational buildings of the university and at clinical sites. We organized the leisure time of international students who take an active part in various public events of the university and the Republic of Belarus.

Winter holidays at the university are an excellent opportunity to get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus! That is why the VSMU students trade union committee together with the Faculty of Overseas Students Training of VSMU organized an excursion to Polotsk for first-year foreign students who arrived in Belarus from faraway and warm Sri Lanka.

As part of the excursion, the students visited two significant places for the history of Belarus - St. Sophia Cathedral and the Museum of Belarusian Book-Printing. Both of these places are important for our cultural heritage and were chosen not by chance. So the students got acquainted not only with the architectural monuments of the Polotsk land, but also with two of its prime representatives. St. Sophia Cathedral is rightfully considered the jewel of the architectural heritage of our country. During the tour around the Cathedral, students listened to stories about the history of this wonderful place, heard a couple of legends associated with it, and got acquainted with Euphrosyne of Polotsk, whose famous relic - the cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, was kept for some time in the cathedral.
