The department is located in the Main Academic Building (rooms 320, 321, 322).

The Department of Ideological and Educational Work (hereinafter – the Department) reports directly to the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, Dmitry Konstantinovich Kuzhel.

The goal of educational work is to form a well-rounded, morally mature, and creative personality in students.

The Department implements state policy in the fields of Belarusian state ideology, education, and upbringing, provides organizational, methodological, and informational support for ideological and educational activities at the university, and collaborates with specialists and structural units involved in the ideological and educational process (Student and Sports Clubs, Social-Pedagogical and Psychological Service, Student Campus, Dean’s Offices [Departments], Press Center). It also organizes extensive activities aimed at close interaction among all public associations and organizations at the university (primary trade union organizations of staff and students, primary organizations of public associations such as the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, Belaya Rus, Belarusian Women’s Union [Youth Wing], Belarusian Red Cross Society, VSMU Veterans; VSMU Student Council, Volunteer Council, Voluntary Student Patrol Squad).
