Scientific and Pedagogical Schools of VSMU

Research work at the university is carried out in accordance with the Laws and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus governing scientific activity, scientific-technical and innovation policy, as well as a number of internal university regulations related to research activity (the University Charter, orders and directives of the Rector, and the Regulations on the Research Department of VSMU approved by the Rector on 20.01.2017).

Planning of research, experimental-design, and experimental-technological work at the university is performed in accordance with the Priority Areas of Scientific and Technical Activity in the Republic of Belarus for 2021–2025, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 156 of May 7, 2020.

Scientific and Pedagogical Schools

Effective scientific activity and the training of highly qualified personnel are key functions of a scientific and pedagogical school. These schools identify the potential of young researchers and ensure a continuous, systematic connection between scientific, educational, and clinical processes, enriching all areas of the university’s work.

The university has established and successfully operates 15 scientific and pedagogical schools.

1. Scientific and Pedagogical School “Diagnosis and Treatment of Common Chronic Dermatoses”

2. Scientific and Pedagogical School “Study of Allergic and Genetic Aspects of Host–Parasite Interactions in Human Helminth Infections”
Founder: Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Oswald-Jan Leonovich Bekish.
