From September 13 to 15, 2024, the Republican rally of students of higher education institutions was held in the Berezinsky district of the Minsk region, as part of the Republican Universiade - 2024.

The VSMU team competed for three days in the sports and competition program of the tourist rally.

The military-patriotic game complex "Patriot Games", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, was held on September 13-14, 2024 in Grodno. Teams from all medical universities of the country took part in the competition.

On September 16, 2024, the Republican dictation dedicated to the Day of National Unity was held. Students of Vitebsk State Medical University also took part in it.

The literacy test, which has already become a tradition, was held as part of the plan to hold the First-Year Student Month and the Patriotic Education Week.

On September 13-14, 2024, a cycling trip of the VSMU employees took place dedicated to several significant dates at once: the National Unity Day, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 90th anniversary of the university. The event was organized by the administration, the trade union committee of employees and the VSMU sports club.

Cyclists rode from Vitebsk to the village of Krupenino in the Beshenkovichi district and back, visiting military memorials and burial sites of Soviet soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War along the way.
