On April 18-20, 2024, in Pinsk, on the basis of the educational establishment “Polesie State University”, the IX International Festival of Volunteer Teams “Our Choice is a Healthy Lifestyle!” was held, in which VSMU volunteers took part.

At the festival, volunteers visited sites on providing first aid to people, on the work of a therapy dog ​​with people with special needs of psychophysical development, an intensive social volunteering program “Give a healthy interactive!”, and a smart project “Juicy Choice”.

April 18, 2024, the 2nd year students of the Faculty of Medicine Kushchin M.K. and Ladik N.O. took part in the LXXXV Annual final scientific and practical conference of students and young scientists with international participation “Current issues of experimental and clinical medicine - 2024”, held at the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after the acad. I.P. Pavlova, where they made a report on the topic: “Evaluation of the expression level of microRNA-489-3p in experimental liver fibrosis” (headed by the Associate Professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology Lebedeva E.I.).

Active cooperation continues between Vitebsk State Medical University and Orenburg State Medical University.

On April 18, 2024, two online lectures on pediatrics were held for students of VSMU and Orenburg State Medical University. The Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2 of VSMU Galina Barkun gave a lecture “Jaundice in newborns” to 4-5 year students of Orenburg State Medical University.

On April 17, 2024 on the basis of the Children's Regional Clinical Center was held a training seminar "Practical issues of pediatric dermatology", which was organized by the Department of Dermatovenerology and Cosmetology together with the departments of pediatrics and general medical practice. The seminar was attended by the students and clinical residents of the medical and pediatric faculties, as well as the faculty of training of foreign citizens. This event aroused interest among pediatricians, dermatovenerologists and general practitioners. The seminar program included topical issues of practical dermatology and pediatrics.
