The primary trade union organizations of VSMU employees and students organized a trip called "The Heart of Novgorod" to one of the oldest cities in Russia. The journey brought together history and culture enthusiasts from among teachers, staff, and students.

The excursion began with a car tour of the Novgorod region. The first stop was the Yuriev Monastery, followed by a visit to the open-air museum of wooden architecture, "Vitoslavlitsy," where visitors saw ancient huts filled with authentic peasant household items. Next, participants enjoyed a walking tour of the Novgorod Kremlin.

From March 30 to April 3, 2026, the XVII All-Russian Conference with international participation, "Week of Medical Education-2026," was held in Moscow.

The forum was attended by Elena Asiryan, Vice-Rector of Research at VSMU, and Elena Kosenkova, Head of Department No. 1 in Pediatrics.

On April 1, 2026, VSMU students participated in a charity event to clean the territory of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in the rural settlement of Candle, located in the Beshenkovichi district of the Vitebsk region. Participants included members of the student project "Family and Spiritual and Moral Traditions of Belarus," as well as representatives of the student and staff trade union committees and university volunteers. They assisted in clearing foliage and construction debris from the church grounds.

On April 3, 2026, the Faculty of Preparatory Training Course at VSMU organized a career guidance event for students of the State Educational Establishment "Zaslavskaya Secondary School No. 2 named after M.K. Puteyko." The event was held in the "Equal teaches equal" format: Polina Kocherzhenko, a first-year student of the Pharmaceutical Faculty of VSMU, spoke to the students.

The team of Vitebsk State Medical University returned triumphantly from Gomel, where the Republican Olympiad in infectious diseases and epidemiology was held using simulation technologies. Our students were awarded first-degree diplomas, demonstrating not only deep theoretical knowledge but also excellent practical skills.
