On July 2, 2026, a delegation of Vitebsk State Medical University staff led by Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice–Rector for Ideological and Educational Work, took part in the Disney Frontier - Frontier of Valor rally dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

On July 3, 2026, on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, employees, representatives of public associations and organizations of VSMU, headed by Dmitry Kuzhel, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work, took part in a rally and a flower–laying ceremony at the memorial complex "Liberators of Vitebsk - Soviet Soldiers, partisans and Underground fighters" on Victory Square.

I congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus, a holiday that embodies indomitable will, unity and loyalty to your roots.

The Belarusian land has always been a stronghold of courage and hard work. We are the heirs of the Great Victory and the creative power of our ancestors, who defended the right to live under a peaceful sky and passed on to us the rich heritage of our native culture.

Today we are proud to see how our country is growing stronger, how its towns and villages are developing, how science and education are serving the benefit of Belarus' independence and prosperity.

Being a patriot means proving your love for the Motherland every day with work: responsible work, respect for traditions and caring for your neighbors. This is how, step by step, we keep the peaceful sky above our heads.

On July 2, 2026, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted a solemn event dedicated to the main holiday of our country — Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.

The event was attended by representatives of the university administration, faculty, staff and students of VSMU.

The start of the sports and patriotic action took place on July 2, 2026 at the memorial complex "To the Liberators of Vitebsk – Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground fighters." Representatives of the Vitebsk State Medical University joined the column of more than 50 participants.
