On July 11, 2026, in Vitebsk, on the Flag and Coat of Arms Square, a solemn Military oath was taken by 4th-year students of Vitebsk State Medical University who are undergoing training under the reserve officer training program.

164 students of the medical, dental, pediatric and pharmaceutical faculties of VSMU swore allegiance to the Republic of Belarus in the presence of their relatives and friends.

A time capsule with a message to the future was solemnly laid in the Vitebsk Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Shmyrev. The ceremony was attended by activists of the primary organization of the Republican Public Association "Patriots of Belarus", representatives of the youth wing of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of VSMU, as well as members of the Vitebsk City Organization named after N.A. Yanov of the Belarusian Union of Officers.

Republican summer scientific and educational schools with international participation were held on the basis of GomSMU from June 29 to July 2, 2026. The project brought together hundreds of students from 19 medical universities in Belarus, Russia and Turkmenistan.

From VSMU, 5th year students of the General Medicine Faculty Mataras Anastasia, Misuno Elin, Korban Elizaveta and Ostrovsky Alexey took part in scientific schools.

On July 7, 2026, the admissions committee, chaired by the Rector of the University, Alexei Chukanov, conducted entrance tests for the correspondence clinical internship in three specialties: "Pediatrics", "General medical practice", "Psychiatry-narcology and child psychiatry".

Applicants who have successfully passed the test will be enrolled before August 1, 2026.

The reserve day of entrance examinations in the specialty "Neurology" is July 17, 2026. The reserve day for accepting documents for clinical residency in the specialty "Neurology" is July 16, 2026.

The XXV National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry "Maladzechna-2026" has become the starting point of a new creative level for the Tandem pop song studio. The first half of the year turned out to be really eventful for the team: national-scale events followed one another, like notes in a fast-paced melody. But it was the festival in Molodechno that became the stage where Ekaterina Dyakova, the soloist of the folk group, a student of Vitebsk State Medical University, under the guidance of her mentor Ekaterina Palagot, made a serious bid for the status of a large-scale performer.
