A special atmosphere reigned at Vitebsk State Medical University: the students, professors and staff gathered in Auditorium No. 3 of the laboratory-theoretical building and the conference hall of the main academic building to watch together the historic moment - the inauguration ceremony of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.

The employees and students of VSMU joined the action “Children of Belarus - to veterans and future generations” within the framework of the project “Living memory of grateful generations”, having collected commemorative coins, which will be sent to Moscow and will become a part of the monument in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

On March 18-21, 2025, in Minsk on the basis of the State Institution “Multidisciplinary Cultural and Sports Complex ‘Minsk-Arena’ badminton competitions were held within the framework of the Republican Universiade-2024/2025.

The team of VSMU showed a worthy result, taking the 8th place among 24 teams of higher education establishments of the Republic of Belarus.

On March 24, 2025, the delegation of VSMU headed by the Vice-rector on ideological and educational work of VSMU Dmitry Kuzhel took part in the Republican seminar “Prevention of suicidal behavior of students”, which was held on the basis of educational establishment “Minsk State Linguistic University”.

From March 20 to March 21, 2025, in the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after academician I.P. Pavlov XXXI All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists with International Participation “Actual Problems of Biomedicine - 2025” took place. The students of the 3rd year of medical faculty Kushchin M.K. and Ladik N.O. made a report “Changes in the number of CD68+ and CX3CR1+ macrophages in progressive liver fibrosis” (supervisor – the assistant professor of the Department of Histology, Cytology and Embryology Lebedeva E.I.).
