The gratitude of the President of Belarus is declared to teachers and students of higher educational establishments of the country. The relevant executive order was signed by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko on June 16, 2025.

In recognition of fruitful scientific and pedagogical work, significant personal contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and the development of creative abilities of talented young people, the letter of thanks has been conferred on Irina Shchurok, the Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology with a course at the Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining of the Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University.

June 16, 2025, Mr Santiago Perez Benitez, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Republic of Belarus, visited Vitebsk State Medical University.

The Ambassador met with Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organisational and Legal Work of VSMU. Also the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations Sharykhina Elena and the Head of the International Relations Department Pchelintseva Anna took part in the talks.

On the 16th of June 2025 in VSMU the scientific-educational school ‘Science is the business of young people’ devoted to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War started its work.
