On January 16, 2025, on the eve of the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the dialogue platform "Dentistry Faculty: achievements, ways and prospects of development" was held at VSMU with the participation of the university administration: the First Vice-Rector Alina Shchupakova, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolai Dorofeev, the Chairman of the Trade Union of Employees Alexander Myasoedov, labor collectives of the departments.

On January 16, 2025, the VSMU delegation headed by the rector of the university Alexey Chukanov visited the exhibition of achievements "My Belarus", which is taking place in the international exhibition center "BelExpo".

The exhibition also presents an exposition of the Belarusian healthcare system.

On January 16, 2025, a video conference was held between VSMU and the partner university, the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences.

On January 15, 2025, a meeting was held between the VSMU Rector Alexey Chukanov and the winners of the 2nd Interuniversity Olympiad with International Participation in Dermatovenereology, which took place on January, 10 in Smolensk.

Alexey Nikolaevich congratulated the students and the team leader, the Head of the Department of Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology at VSMU Vladimir Adaskevich, on their excellent results and noted the importance of participating in such events for professional growth and exchange of experience.

On January 15, 2025, training of BRYU volunteers in first aid skills was held at the simulation and certification center of VSMU, who will be on duty at polling stations during the elections of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The volunteers underwent theoretical and practical training, including practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills, providing assistance in case of injuries and other emergency conditions.
