On March 1, 2024, the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University hosted the final of the III Republican competition of startup projects in the field of healthcare MedicalStartup with the support of the Republican Youth Council under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

The event was opened by the chief specialist of the science department of the Ministry of Health Anna Adamovich, and the vice-rector for scientific work of VSMU Elena Asiryan. 17 participants from medical educational establishments, as well as healthcare organizations, presented innovative projects in the field of medicine. The best projects were awarded diplomas, as well as special nominations from the Belarusian Innovation Fund, Belagroprombank, the Center for Transfer of Medical and Pharmaceutical Technologies, Remago LLC and the OxyTech group of companies.

The winners of the competition are:

1st place - Karolina Ruslanovna Grigorieva “Development of a method for experimental prevention of the development of Waterhouse-Friderichsen syndrome.”

2nd place - Evgeniy Yurievich Doroshko “Special coating for artificial woven vascular prostheses”;

Kofanov Evgeniy Leonidovich, Bobrik Pavel Yurievich “Web tool for determining aberrant methylation of promoters of tumor suppressor genes in testicular germ cell tumors.”

3rd place - Nikita Sergeevich Kuiko, Nikita Sergeevich Glushachenko, Viktor Sergeevich Anosov, Denis Viktorovich Demenkovets, Timofey Aleksandrovich Tyushev “Diagnostic and rehabilitation complex for musculoskeletal disorders in children and adults”;

Bliznets Anna Anatolyevna “Diastelki”;

Sheludko Maxim Olegovich “Development of a virtual biopsy method by intelligent analysis of radiomics indicators and anisotropy of digital images of pancreatic tumors.”
