On March 12, 2024,  within the framework of cooperation between VSMU and the Vitebsk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, a meeting-dialogue between the university students and the Head of the Diaconal Center of the Vitebsk Diocese, Inna Kostyukovich, took place in dormitory No. 7. The event was organized by the student council of the hostel, teachers, and employees of the department for educational work with youth and was dedicated to Maslenitsa and Orthodox Book Day (March 14).

Students watched a film about Maslenitsa, shared their impressions of the holiday, and the traditions preserved in their families.
