On October 25, 2024, VSMU took part online in the XIX Scientific and Practical Conference with the international participation "Modnikovskie Readings", organized by the partner university FSBEI HE "Ulyanovsk State University" together with the Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary and the Association for the Assistance to Healthcare Development "Medical Chamber of the Ulyanovsk Region".

The Vice Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits delivered a welcoming speech at the opening of the conference, highlighting the importance of the topics raised at the Modnikov Readings, as well as the support for cooperation between VSMU and Ulyanovsk State University. The Senior Lecturer of the Oncology Department of VSMU with the FAT and PR course read a report on the topic "Prognostic Value of Circulating Tumor Cells in Radical Treatment of Patients with Stage 1-2 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer". The students of the Faculty of Medicine also took part in the videoconference from VSMU.
