On December 20, 2024, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to the Republic of Belarus Alok Ranjan Jha visited VSMU. He was welcomed by the Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for International and Interregional Relations Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel Nikolay Dorofeev, the Dean of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training Vyacheslav Pobyarzhin, the Head of the Department of International and Interregional Relations Elena Sharykhina, the Head of the Department of International Relations Anna Pchelintseva.
A presentation on the educational and scientific activities of the university was presented to Mr. Ambassador, negotiations were held on cooperation, including increasing the number of students from India. The parties agreed to create an India Corner at VSMU.
A round table was held with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India, the university management, the teachers and students of the FOST from among Indian citizens, where the students were able to ask all the questions of interest. The honorary guest highly praised the training of medical specialists at VSMU and expressed hope for long and fruitful work with our university.
