On January 10, 2025, the 2nd interuniversity Olympiad with international participation in dermatovenereology was held in Smolensk. A team of the 4th-year students of the VSMU Faculty of Medicine took part in the Olympiad: Alexandra Pushkarskaya, Andrey Kateryushkin, Polina Lapunova.

The competition program of the Olympiad consisted of 6 stages. In the Homework competition, our team prepared a mini-film in the format of a business card. In the Dermatovenereology competition, knowledge of various aspects of the specialty was assessed in the form of 10 questions. Then a blitz survey "Dermatovenereology in literature and art" took place, in which participants were asked to identify a disease/author/work based on world artistic culture. The original "Recognize a Familiar Face" competition included tasks in which it was necessary to recognize outstanding dermatovenerologists from a photograph, or quotes, or monographs. In the "Black Box" competition, it was necessary to determine the connection of an object with dermatovenereology in the past and assess its clinical and practical significance at present. The traditional "Clinical Case" completed the Olympiad program, during which a team of students had to suggest and justify a diagnosis, conduct differential diagnostics, propose an examination plan and prescribe treatment. Based on the results of the Olympiad, the VSMU team took 1st place by a wide margin. Congratulations to the winners!
