On January 27, 2025, the scientific and educational school for students with international participation "Fundamental Sciences for Medicine" started its work at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The participants of the School were welcomed by: the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for Research Elena Asiryan, the Head of the Scientific and Educational Center "Center for Molecular Genetics and Biotechnological Research" Ekaterina Pashinskaya and wished the guys successful work, interesting discoveries and fruitful communication.

37 students from medical universities of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, as well as Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine were successfully enrolled in the ranks of the School participants and began their studies. The head of the Center for Molecular Genetics and Biotechnological Research at VSMU Ekaterina Pashinskaya gave the first lecture on the role of biological sciences in medicine.
