On January 30, 2026, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council and the plenary session of the 80th scientific session of the University took place.

For fruitful work, high professionalism, significant contribution to the development of scientific and innovative activities of the educational establishment "Vitebsk State Order of Peoples' Friendship Medical University", the Rector's gratitude was expressed to: Sergey Osochuk, Irina Shchurok, Anna Romanyuk, Natalia Antonenko, Lyudmila Rodkina, Nina Dashkevich, Igor Lyatos, Olga Yudenko.

The following decisions were made during the work of the Scientific and Technical Council:

a decision was made to petition the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus to open a council for the defense of dissertations in the specialty 14.01.10 - skin and venereal diseases and a council for the defense of dissertations in the specialty 14.04.01 - drug production technology at VSMU. Pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy. Organization of pharmaceutical business;

final reports on the implementation of initiative research were reviewed and approved;

initiative research was approved and recommended for inclusion in the university's scientific work plan;

the topic and individual plan for completing a doctoral dissertation were approved;

instructions for use were recommended for submission to the expert commission of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus,

a report on the work of the scientific and technical council for 2024 was reviewed and the work plan of the scientific and technical council for 2025 was approved.

The reports presented at the plenary meeting of the university's scientific session reflect the preliminary results of doctoral and candidate dissertation research.
