On January 30, 2025, the opening of an exhibition of creative works by Amina Shahid, a 6th-year student of the Faculty of Overseas Student’s Training, “Anatomy on Canvas,” took place at the Cultural and Educational Center of Pakistan at VSMU. The staff and students, friends and family gathered to congratulate Amina on the opening of the exhibition.
Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech, noting that this exhibition is a unique opportunity not only to demonstrate their artistic abilities, but also to explore the interaction between medicine and art. He emphasized the importance of such events for the development of creative thinking, and also wished everyone present new achievements, the implementation of their plans and interesting ideas.
It was her studies at VSMU that inspired Amina to study anatomy through art. She, a future doctor and artist at the same time, is trying to combine science and creativity. With the help of art, she seeks to illustrate the complex beauty of anatomy, to demonstrate the relationship between medicine and painting. The event took place in a pleasant creative atmosphere. Visitors were able to enjoy the exhibition, where Amina spoke in detail about her works, sharing the thoughts and ideas behind each of them. As noted by the participants of the event, Amina's works are distinguished by their originality, imagination and excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology!
