On February 18, 2025, within the framework of cooperation between VSMU and Vitebsk Regional Specialized Children's Home, the University hosted the opening of the exhibition of creative works of children-patients of the regional center of palliative medical care of Vitebsk, the work of which is aimed at helping children with disabilities, their treatment, rehabilitation, development and social adaptation. The exhibition was opened by the Rector of Vitebsk State Medical University Aleksey Chukanov and the Chief Doctor of Vitebsk Regional Specialized Children's Home Elena Mizerkina.

The exhibition presents the works of children from 14 to 18 years old. The drawings are made in a variety of techniques: painting with gouache, watercolor and acrylic paints, “diamond mosaic” and applique. The exposition clearly demonstrates how talented children with disabilities are. The exhibition focuses on the integration of people with disabilities in modern society.

The volunteers of Vitebsk State Medical University, who help the Children's Home on a regular basis, provided great assistance in the preparation of the exhibition.
