On February 18, 2025, in accordance with the work plan of the scientific and educational cluster “medicine and pharmaceutics - innovative projects” an international round table “additive technologies - new opportunities” was held.

The Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work of VSMU Denis Lits addressed the participants of the round table, noting the increasing interest to additive technologies in scientific and educational sphere.

At the meeting the questions of history and prospects of using additive technologies for modeling in biopharmaceutical drug development, modeling of antitumor diseases of oral mucosa, obtaining compositions for three-dimensional printing to develop drug delivery systems were discussed. There were also heard reports on the use of additive technologies for the creation of medical devices, maintenance of testing laboratories, in the training of students of the medical university.

The round table was attended by the representatives of the cluster: Vitebsk State Medical University, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Vitebsk State Technological University, St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Vitebsk RUE “Pharmacia”, the students and staff of Sechenov University (Moscow, Russia).
