Elena Sharykhina and Olga Chakur, the representatives of the Belarusian Women's Union of the Belarusian State Medical University, took part in the “Mama's Pies” action - the pies were handed over to the soldiers of the 103rd separate Guards Airborne Brigade in Vitebsk, which is based in Zhurzhevo in connection with the celebration of the Defender of the Fatherland Day.

The Representatives of the women's movement met the young defenders of the Fatherland with great gratitude and warmth. They brought them back to the comfort of home for a while and filled the room with the aroma of home baking.

The traditional event “Mama's Pies” attracts more and more participants every year. Women of different generations unite to create culinary masterpieces, which are especially appreciated by the servicemen of various paramilitary units of Vitebsk region.

The Chairwoman of the regional women's public organization “Belarusian Union of Women”, the Head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee Marina Novitskaya expressed her gratitude to the participants of the event and congratulated the soldiers.
