A group of Belarusian neurologists took part in the III All-Russian Congress with international participation “Stroke and cerebrovascular pathology”, which was held in Moscow on March 3-4, 2025.
The program of the congress reflected the latest achievements in the field of cerebral vascular lesions, issues of intensive care of patients with stroke, possibilities of reperfusion therapy, development of technologies of endovascular interventions in acute cerebrovascular disorders, organization and improvement of the effectiveness of neurorehabilitation and much more.
A useful exchange of opinions of leading Russian and Belarusian specialists in the field of angioneurology took place, the experience of development of specialized interregional neurovascular centers continued to be discussed.
One of the moderators of the congress session, where the problems of stroke and epilepsy, other paroxysmal conditions were discussed, was the Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of the All-Russian State Medical University Y.V. Alekseenko. He made a report “Transient global amnesia: algorithm and diagnostic criteria”. In continuation of cooperation between the neurologists of our countries it is planned to hold an international congress devoted to cerebrovascular diseases in Grodno on May 12-13, 2025.
