On March 6, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Vice-rector for international relations, organizational and legal work Lits Denis, with the participation of the representatives of the Department of international and interregional relations Sharykhina Elena and Pchelintseva Anna, the negotiations with the leadership of the Professional Committee for Education Management of the Association for the Promotion of Education Development of Shandong Province (People's Republic of China) were held in the online format in VSMU.

During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of integration of academic resources, creation of double diploma programs with Nanchang University, organization of exchange of students and teachers, introduction of modern IT-solutions in the educational process. An agreement was reached to sign a cooperation agreement with Nanchang University.
