On April 1, 2025, the First plenum of the regional trade union of healthcare workers was held on the basis of VSMU.

The plenum was attended by Vyacheslav Shilo, the Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers, Mikhail Vishnevetsky, the Head of the General Health Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Vladimir Plytkevich, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional BTUHW Organization, Alexander Myasoedov, the Chairman of the VSMU Staff Association, Ekaterina Boriseevich, the General Director of the Vitebsk Trade and Production RUE Pharmacy, more than 70 members of the regional committee of the branch trade union and invited guests - heads of healthcare organizations in the Vitebsk region.

During the plenum, a wide range of issues related to the activities of the trade union were discussed, including the implementation of the decisions of the X Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, the work of the regional labor protection center, the experience of social partnership and issues of information work.

The main purpose of the plenum is to determine the priority areas of the trade union's work in the near future and consolidate efforts to protect the rights and interests of medical workers in the Vitebsk region.

Vladimir Plytkevich, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional BTUHW Organization, informed those present about the implementation of the decisions of the X Congress of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and plans for the future.

The agenda of the plenum included such issues as: discussion of the work of the Vitebsk Regional Industrial Center for Occupational Safety, exchange of experience in the field of social partnership in healthcare institutions, and others.

Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers Vyacheslav Shilo presented industry awards at the Plenum of the BTUHW Regional committee.

Alexander Myasoedov, the chairman of the primary trade union organization of VSMU employees, was awarded the Diploma of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers for his active participation in the 2025 election campaign, fruitful work on organizational strengthening of the branch trade union, and professionalism in his work.
