On 2 April 2025, the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, a solemn event dedicated to the completion of the patriotic project ‘Living Memory of Grateful Generations’ took place.

The central event was a meeting with the initiator and head of the project Alexei Talai, in which the delegation of VSMU consisting of the first vice-rector Alina Shchupakova, the senior lecturer Alexander Tur and the students of the youth wing of the public association ‘Belarusian Women's Union’ of VSMU took part.

Within the framework of the round table the participants discussed the importance of preserving historical memory, and the students and staff of the university were able to ask Alexei Talai questions about his further plans and new projects.

The event ended with a warm ceremony: the VSMU delegation presented Alexey Talai with a memorable photo collage depicting the participation of the staff and students in the action ‘Living memory of grateful generations’, as well as a book dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the University.

The event became a vivid evidence of strengthening friendship between Belarus and Russia and a tribute to the common historical heritage.
