On April 15, 2025, on the basis of “Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Center” in the lecture room of the Pediatric Faculty of VSMU for obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatologists, pediatricians and general practitioners regional scientific-practical conference “Current issues of neonatology” was held. This conference was organized with the active participation of the staff of the Department of Pediatrics №2 with a course of FAT and PR of VSMU.

The head of the department Zhuravleva L.N. read the report “Necrotizing enterocolitis of newborns”, professor Matveev V.A. - “Features of drug therapy in children, pregnant and nursing mothers”, associate professor Potapova V.E. made the report “Parenteral nutrition of newborn baby”, associate professor Barkun G.K. “Herpetic infection in the neonatal period: features of clinic diagnosis and treatment”.

In the reports the staff of the Department of Pediatrics № 2 with a course of FAT and PR presented a modern view of some diseases of newborns and approaches to their diagnosis and therapy in the neonatal period.

Students of the pediatric, FOST and medical faculties, the staff of the departments of pediatrics of VSMU, medical specialists listened to the presented information with interest.
