On April 17, 2025 the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industry, Energy, Transport, Communications and Digital Development of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Yuriy Panfilov met with the students and staff of VSMU at Vitebsk State Medical University.

The event was dedicated to the United Day of Information “The feat of the people to live in the centuries. To the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War”.

During his speech Yuriy Anatolievich spoke about the enduring value of the feat of the Soviet people, about love for the Motherland and the need to preserve historical memory for future generations. He emphasized that the Great Patriotic War left us not only lessons of courage, fortitude and heroism, but also a covenant to preserve peace and unity.

In the second part of the meeting, Yuriy Panfilov spoke in detail about the work of the Standing Committee he heads, focusing on the key areas of the country's development: industry, energy, transport, communications and digitalization. The participants of the event learned about current legislative initiatives and state programs, as well as about the role played by the citizens of our country in these processes.
