On April 25, 2025, on the basis of Vitebsk State Medical University there were held kettlebell lifting competitions among health care workers of Vitebsk region, timed to the Labour Holiday - May 1 for the prizes of Vitebsk regional organization of BTUHW.

The participants were warmly welcomed by the Vice-rector for ideological and educational work of VSMU Dmitry Kuzhel and the Chairman of Vitebsk regional committee of trade union of health workers Vladimir Plytkevich. They wished the athletes bright victories, perseverance and, of course, new records.

The competition was held in a dynamic format: men in three weight categories lifted weights of 24 or 16 kg for 10 minutes, and women competed with eight-kilogram shells.

The struggle was exciting, and the staff of VSMU showed that they combine professional skills with outstanding sports achievements.

2nd place - Anastasia Suvorova, the assistant of the Department of General Medical Practice.

4th place - Zhanna Poznyak, the teacher of the Department of Physical Education.

Among men (over 90kg):

1st place - Yuri Suvorov, the instructor of the sports club of VSMU.
