On April 30, 2025, Vitebsk State Medical University hosted the solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Labor Holiday

This holiday unites professions and generations, gives mental uplift and energy.  And such concepts as Peace and Labor are eternal symbols of creation, the guarantee of development of any society, strengthening of the economy, improvement of the people's welfare.

The solemn ceremony was attended by the representatives of administration, teachers and students of VSMU. Nikolay Dorofeev, the Vice-Rector for Security, Regime and Personnel, addressed the audience with words of congratulations.

The honorable right to raise the flag of the Republic of Belarus was given to: the master of sports of international class in swimming, instructor of sports club Yuri Suvorov; the master of sports in judo, student of the 1st year of medical faculty Daria Mishuto; the candidate master of sports in boxing, student of the 5th year of medical faculty Gleb Ivanov.
