April 30, 2025. VSMU took part in the seminar in the format of videoconference between educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus and the Lao People's Democratic Republic, organized by the Republican Institute of Higher Education.

The main purpose of the seminar was to strengthen academic and scientific interaction between the countries. From the side of VSMU Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, made a welcoming speech. The Lao delegation was represented by the leading universities and representatives of the Ministry of Education of Laos, interested in the exchange of experience with the Belarusian colleagues.

During the videoconference the presentation of the educational and scientific potential of VSMU was made, topical issues of modern education, innovative teaching methods and prospects of joint research in the field of medicine and biotechnology were discussed. The projects on academic mobility, including exchange programs for students and teachers aroused special interest.

Denis Litz, making welcoming remarks, emphasized: “Cooperation with Laos opens new horizons for our universities. I am confident that joint initiatives in education and science will become the basis for long-term partnership”.
