On May 6, 2025, in accordance with the work plan of scientific-educational cluster “Medicine and Pharmacy - innovative projects”, on the threshold of celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and the day of the State Emblem, State Flag and State Anthem of the Republic of Belarus in VSMU the dialogue platform “National symbols of Belarus” was held.

Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, the representatives of the cluster - Vitebsk UE “Pharmacia” and “VitVar” Ltd, the employees and students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department for Ideological and Educational Work of VSMU took part in the work of the dialog platform.

The dialog platform was opened and moderated by Valentina Kugach, the Head of the Cluster Executive Body, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

During the dialog platform the students of the 1, 2 and 4 courses of the Faculty of Pharmacy spoke.

The main report was dedicated to the leader of the Belarusian nation - the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The report reflected the main achievements of our country for 30 years.

In their reports the students also told about the history of the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus, their content and meaning; about the history of the spiritual symbol of our country - the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk, about the peculiarities of the Belarusian national costume.

A video about the natural symbols of Belarus, edited by students, was shown at the dialog platform.

The students told about the heroic battles of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and the symbols of national memory - the most significant monuments and memorials of our country.

During the dialog platform military and patriotic songs by Belarusian and Soviet composers were performed.

Summing up the results of the dialogue platform, Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organizational and Legal Work, noted the contribution of the Belarusian people to the Great Victory and its significance for the present and future generations, stressed the importance of the State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus for the formation of a cohesive nation and the importance of youth participation in patriotic projects that build national consciousness and pride for the country.
