May 8, 2025, the delegation of VSMU took part in solemn events held in Vitebsk within the framework of celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.

The Rector of the University Alexey Chukanov, the administration, the representatives of public organizations, the employees and students of VSMU laid flowers at the monument to the Heroes of Vitebsk underground and joined the rally dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, which was held at the war grave on Uspenskaya Hill.
