On May 12-13, 2025, Grodno State Medical University hosted the International Angioneurological Congress and “Republican School of Stroke-2025. Innovative approaches to solving the problem”.

More than 400 specialists from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Israel - neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists and rehabilitation specialists, all those who take an active part in rendering assistance to patients with cerebral circulatory disorders - participated in the work of this largest interdisciplinary forum.

The congress program included 20 sections on topical issues of diagnostics, treatment and prevention of cerebrovascular disorders. The moderators of one of the sessions were the Head of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery of VSMU, Associate Professor Y.V. Alekseenko and the Associate Professor of the Department N.N. Belyavskiy, who presented reports devoted to modern approaches to the diagnosis of transient ischemic attacks and lesions of small vessels of the brain. There was an exchange of advanced experience and discussion of a set of topical issues of further development of angio-neurological service.
