On June 4, 2025, the representatives of the administration of Vitebsk State Medical University visited health care institutions of Grodno region in order to get acquainted with the working conditions of graduates at their first workplaces.
During the visit a meeting was held with young specialists of Mostovsky Central District Hospital, as well as with the provisors of the region.
The main topics of discussion were:
- social and legal guarantees;
- the level of training of graduates and their compliance with professional requirements;
- observance of labour rights and guarantees of young specialists;
- psychological and professional adaptation in a new team.
The participants of the meeting had an opportunity to openly discuss important topics with the university administration and hear detailed comments on each issue.
Denis Lits, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Organisational and Legal Work, said: ‘It is important for us not only to provide quality education, but also to support graduates at the start of their careers. The first steps in a profession are not always easy, and our task is to make this path as comfortable as possible.
Feedback from graduates is essential: it allows us not only to improve training, but also to build a system of long-term support in co-operation with employers’.
