The solemn event, during which the best enterprises, organisations, institutions and specialists were honoured according to the results of their work for the year 2024, took place on June 11, 2025, in the concert hall ‘Vitebsk’.

The certificate of inscription of Vitebsk State Medical University on the Board of Honour of Oktyabrsky district was handed over to the vice-rector for ideological and educational work of VSMU Dmitry Kuzhel by the head of administration of Oktyabrsky district Vladimir Belevich.

The Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov and the representative of university students Kirill Kubrakov were put on the Board of Honour.

This honourable award is the recognition of significant contribution of the University to the development of education, science and socio-cultural life. VSMU not only trains highly qualified medical specialists, but also actively participates in public initiatives, volunteer projects and events aimed at improving the quality of life in the region.

The concert part of the event was decorated with performances of creative groups of the VSMU student club.
