On the 13th of June 2025 Vitebsk State Medical University held a solemn Council dedicated to the Day of Medical Workers.

The event was attended and congratulated the University staff with the professional holiday by the deputy head of the Main Department of Health Care of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Kovaleva Lyudmila Fyodorovna, general director of Vitebsk Trade and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise ‘Pharmacia’ Boriseevich Ekaterina Stanislavovna, chairman of Vitebsk regional organisation of BTUHW Plytkevich Vladimir Timofeevich.

The event was opened by the Rector of VSMU Alexey Chukanov, who addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

The report on the results of clinical work done by the University staff was made by the Head of the clinical department Fleryanovich Maria Sergeevna.

The university staff members were awarded for their contribution to the development of the health care system of the Republic of Belarus.

For many years of conscientious labour, high professionalism and significant personal contribution to the training of medical personnel the Honorary Diploma of the Main Health Care Department of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee was awarded to:

• ZHARKOVA Olga Aleksandrovna, Associate Professor of the Department of Paediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics with a course of FAT and PR;
• Svetlana Konstantinovna ZENYKOVA, Associate Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases with a course of FAT and PR;
• Konstantin Mikhailovich KUBRAKOV, Professor of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery;
• NEMTSOV Leonid Mikhailovich, Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases;

For significant contribution to the development and strengthening of trade union movement, development of social partnership, fruitful work on protection of socio-economic and labour rights of trade union members the Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers was awarded to trade union members:

• - MASLAK Sergey Aleksandrovich MASLAK, senior lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture
• - PETROVICH Svetlana Anatolievna, senior lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology

Gratitude of the Presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Organisation of the Belarusian Trade Union of Health Workers was announced:

For conscientious work, professionalism, significant personal contribution to the organisation of work of pharmacies in Vitebsk and Vitebsk region and in connection with the Day of Medical Workers were awarded the Diploma of the educational establishment “Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University”:

- TSEDRIK Alexander Petrovich, head of pharmacy No. 380 of the first category in Vitebsk of the Vitebsk Trade and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise ‘Pharmacia’;

- Lyudmila Aleksandrovna SHIPIKOVA, deputy head of pharmacy No. 164 of the second category in Vitebsk, Vitebsk Trade and Production Republican Unitary Enterprise ‘Pharmacia’.

For the high level of professional training, coordinated actions in a team while saving the patient's life the Diploma of the educational establishment “Vitebsk State Order of Friendship of Peoples Medical University” was awarded to:
