On June 25, 2025, a conference of the primary trade union organization of employees of the educational establishment “Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University” was held at VSMU.

The main issue of the conference was the introduction of additions and changes to the Collective Agreement for 2024-2027.

The Chairperson of the Commission for Public Control over Compliance with Labor Legislation and the Implementation of the Collective Agreement Olga Fedchuk presented proposals for updating the document. The conference participants discussed initiatives and approved new provisions aimed at improving labor relations and social protection of university employees.

As Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Organizational and Legal Work Denis Lits noted: “Joint work on the Collective Agreement demonstrates our commitment to the principles of social partnership. Each change made is a step towards improving the efficiency of the university and the well-being of its employees”.
